Moeller Purcell Construction Company was established in 1990 under the name of May Construction as a two-person, “working principal” general contractor. All aspects of the company were managed by the principals including pricing, procurement, project management, field supervision, billing and closeout. The company has since evolved into a more traditional General Contracting organization with Executives, Operations, Project Managers, Field Supervision, and Administrative roles. In 2014 the name of the company was changed to Moeller Purcell Construction Company to reflect the ownership at that time and to celebrate 25 years of being in business. Mark Moeller has been active in the firm since its formation in 1990, Dwayne Purcell joined the company in 1997 and as a partner in 2003. In 2023, five Junior Partners were added to the corporate ownership team: Shannon Halligan, Ashlee Nichols, Greg Jordan, Stephen Chambless and Andy Nichols. In 2024, Mark and Dwayne transitioned to Senior Partners, Shannon was appointed CEO, Ashlee became CFO, Stephen was named COO, and Andy became CRO. The deliberate and thoughtful transition to the future leadership team ensures the company is set up to continue performing for our clients for the next 35 years.

From the onset Moeller Purcell has focused on delivering projects on schedule and within budget. Today, all projects receive hands-on involvement from partners as Project Leaders and each are highly involved with the overall project details, from preconstruction through final completion. This approach to project delivery is the reason many Owners have continued to work with us for over 35 years.
